The Lamplight Lounge at Pixar Pier

This past month we visited the new Lamplight Lounge at Pixar Pier.  Lamplight Lounge replaced the spaces that used to be Cove Bar and Ariel’s Grotto so there are technically two sections- upstairs and downstairs. We went on opening day and visited the upstairs bar and then we booked a reservation to dine downstairs there a few days later. 

Upstairs Lamplight Lounge

The upstairs part of the Lamplight Lounge looks a lot like it used to when it was Cove Bar.  

The biggest difference is that the menu is now Pixar themed and they give you adorable Pixar coasters!  The menu has several themed drinks to pick from and there are some appetizers which include the popular Lobster Nachos from the Cove Bar.  

We tried the Crispy Piggy Wings which were good but were a bit too spicy for us.  We ended up drinking a lot of water!

For drinks we had the Six Tentacles and the Scream Canister.  Unfortunately they came after we were done with our food but it was opening day so the bar was extremely busy.  Both drinks were really tasty especially after our spicy wings!

Downstairs Lamplight Lounge

The downstairs section of the Lamplight Lounge looks very different from what it looked like as Ariel’s Grotto.  The waiting area has Pixar artwork and even the floor fits the theme!

There is a gorgeous chandelier made of Pixar sketches that reminds us of the Art of Animation Resort in Walt Disney World.  

Part of the bar feels like it’s inside but it is all open air seating. A lot of the seating is on the patios outside which is great because of the lovely view of Pixar Pier!  

The menu includes the large drink menu that they also have upstairs.  The food menu downstairs is bigger however since it includes bigger bites and donuts!  We got items from the "Bigger Bites" part of the menu- the Salmon PLT and the Ratatouille.

Both were good but we preferred the Salmon PLT.  We also tried more drinks- the Sizzle Reel and the Sequel.

And of course we tried the donuts which ended up being our favorite!  The donuts were warm and came with two dipping sauces- raspberry with pop rocks and chocolate hazelnut. They were delicious.
