On May 31st, we went to the grand opening of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge! We had an 8am reservation and were able to be part of the first group that entered the land on the official opening day! (Video at the end of this post!)
We got
there bright and early so we could check in and get our wristbands.
They were handing out special park maps that day and we got those as
well.
Afterwards we waited next to the
Matterhorn for the group to be taken over to the land. While we were
waiting we spotted the president of Disneyland, Josh D'Amaro.
Finally it was time and you could feel the buzz of excitement as we made the walk over to the main entrance to the land.

Right before they opened we counted down and then we went in!
We headed straight for Oga's Cantina and got in line! We're happy we went there first because we loved it! DJ Rex who you may recognize from the old Star Tours was there playing some tunes!
We
tried several of the drinks including the Yub Nub and Cliff Dweller-
both which come with souvenir mugs, the Bespin Fizz, and later the Imperial
Guard red wine.
Then
we headed over to the Millennium Falcon and were pleasantly surprised
when we saw it was a five minute wait. We went at just the right time!
We were pilots for the first ride and it was a lot of fun! The line
was still short so we hopped back in for a second ride and were
Gunners.
We finished our visit with some Blue and Green milk! We both preferred the Blue Milk!
